Hey there, I think it's great that you've recognized a problem so early & decided to do something about it NOW, while you are still so young & your liver is not yet destroyed. I'm 46 and just finally went for a blood test, avoiding it, of course, thru the years because I knew what it would reveal. Your better than alchol, you deserve so much more, go to the meetings, meet others who are sober & believe in yourself. YOU CAN DO IT! Good Luck, your doing the right thing!!! Stick to it!

I think it's great that you hae admitted that you have a problem. Try AA meetings, and become initiated with the 12 steps. Get a sponser who can help you along the way. Also... AA meetings will help you to understand your addiction, and give you a great group of SOBER supporters who understand you. please consider... you don't have to live like this..

Im 24 years old and I never used to drink alot because once i hit 21 i found no reason to really. But then about 3 years ago or so I broke up with my b/f who I dated for a lil over 2 years. Everything was fine for awhile, we got along for the most part. But things got messed up and worse. It was very stressful because I live with him and his family. At the time I had no other place to go. I finally found something that I enjoyed doing, firefighting. Once I joined in, I started to hang out alot with the fellow guys up at the station. They are big social drinkers, but to me I think i found the way out of pain of dealing with my ex and the problems coming between us. He left for the military and I was able to move out. Things got better until recently. Lately I am out every weekend spending money i really dont have to go drinking. then i most times have liquor stocked in my apartment. But it has gotten to the point of where i was so drunk one nite too that I tried to throw myself down a flight of steps backwards.....how do i get my life back?
