Re: sponsor

Giniu: Hi. I felt the same exact way when I was looking for a sponsor. I had some time in before I was able to choose one. I had a few people in mind at first after attending some meetings, then I would really listen to them at meetings and what they were saying. Then one day, one of the women I had in mind mentioned her sponsor's name and it was the same as mind and I took it as a sign, so I asked her. I also threw out there that I didn't want her to answer me right then, but she should think about it because it's a big undertaking. Next time I saw her, she told me she would be honored to be my sponsor. I had read that sometimes when you ask someone to be your sponsor, they don't accept for whatever reason and that you shouldn't take it personally. I also knew how fragile I felt in the beginning and knew how a rejection would feel with how fragile and moody I was. I know when the timing is right, you will find the right sponsor, just keep going to meetings and listening to what is said and hopefully you will also find a sign telling you who you should ask. Hugs!
