Thanks for sharing this. I liked your thought on life being a second away.

My husband saved our dog's life this morning

Hi All,
My husband saved our dog's life this morning, and I want to share this incredible story.

(We have two dogs: J and M)

I was working in my office when I heard M yelped in the weirdest way possible in our bedroom. Three steps later I was there. M looked like he was biting J's neck very hard (they play rough sometimes, but that scene was surreal). I tried to separate them, but they wouldn't let go. M kept yelping, J was struggling. I called my husband who ran upstairs right away. Same thing: He tried to separate them. That's when we realized that M's lower jaw was stuck in J's collar. We tried to release it, but it was too tight. My husband got a pair of scissors to cut her collar, but it was embedded in her neck so tight that she had trouble breathing, and he couldn't cut anything. He took a closer look and saw that J's collar was twisted, forming an eight and preventing us from releasing M's jaw. He asked me to flip M around, and after several tries, they were both free. But in the meantime, J had stopped breathing. The whole ordeal lasted probably 5 minutes. Enough to suffocate her to death. My husband massaged her and breathed in her mouth, again and again. After a couple of minutes, she came back. He saved a life today.

Death is a second away. Life too.
