It is always there. I'm 11 years in and I still miss it. I wish I could talk to someone late when the cravings get bad and the meetings are closed.

I can truly identify with what you going through. My drug of choice is crack cocaine, I just started going to meetings and I attend church. I love the smell and taste of it, not to mention the rush .I pray, believing in my prayers as I daily ask God for help. What I want to say to you is continue in the postive path. Focus on your small victories. You have accomplish alot in staying clean for 3 weeks. Some people don't have that. Addicts use everyday, so the miracle is not using for 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months, 3 years and beyond. Believe in yourself, celebrate everyday you have being clean & sober, and pray through the moments of weakness and temptation! That's what I do and will continue to do so I can get to "and beyond". God bless on your road to recovery!!!

Not sure where you are located, but there is a way up and a way out. Addiction can be overcome. I have found that time away from drugs did little to help me. In fact it just further proved how powerless I was. I knew drugs were killing me yet I used again and again ( powerlessness and insanity) I met some people that had a way of life that was better than anything I had ever seen ( came to believe). I decided to follow them ( made a decision) and have not regretted it at all.

Hey hun, hang in there is gets better. you need to change your ppl, places, and things. Start going to meetings try 90 in 90, find a sponsor, a HG, and get a we. ppl you can talk to and call everyday. Youre not the only one going through this. There are a lot of cliche sayings but they are said for a reason. Thats my suggestion to start. and above all dont have to be religious or even know how to pray or what youre praying to just a simple help me, give me the willingness can suffice. Just for Today...DONT PICK UP

Addiction has always been in my family. I have a huge loud family and alcohol and drygs were never absent from any function. Started becomming a raging alcoholic by age 18. Then I tried opiates. I will take opiates over alcohol anyday. Im 30 and feel like such a loser. I have been clean for 3 weeks only because I cant get my hands on them. I want to stop so bad but I love how opiates make me feel. I just cant seem to find the strength to say no. Please respondIm new here.
