Good luck on your journey. Check your local churches because that's where they're normally held. Start with an alcohol education class and they'll be able to guide you from there. Again GOOD LUCK.

New to AA

Hello
I am new to AA and trying to find a meeting. I understand that there all types of meetings. Do I need to begin at the beginners meeting? How can I tell whether it is a beginner meeting or whether it is restricted to just men or women. I attempted to go to one in town but was told it was a men's meeting.
