Great to see you back, and as the Big Book quite indicates "you never (yes, never) have to drink again", look it up it is there! Being a past multiple relapser myself I find it much simpler now staying and living sober. My current sobriety date now is October 19, 1987, and have spoken twice in your great town. One great experience I can give you so you don't have to relapse again is get your ass into service work, and do it now with your sponsors blessing. If your sponsor says don't get into service get a new sponsor. Service work in AA saved my ego tisticle ass, humbled me greatly, and kept my addictive/alcoholic mind busy. I love getting people into service work, hell, I have to get up here in a few hours to drive a few hours to be at a GSR Meeting where I don't like anyone there especially, but respect each and everyone of them, and hopefully will get to like them as time goes on. Find your area of interest (or need as the case may be) and throw yourself into it hook, line, and sinker. You are not a new comer with what you wrote, so you can jump into this like a pool on a hot ass day. Quite screwing around: "If you want we have and are willing to go to any lengths to get it then you are ready to take certain steps" - start, and complete your steps. We need your experience, strength, and hope within the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous, and we need your ass to stay sober and get busy. Your love and dedication to recovery can be seen and read in your posting, so buckle up and get busy. If no one has said they love you today i will. I love you, and I don't even know you. You deserve to have recovery, and UNINTERRUPTED sobriety, so again get busy. You will feel great when you THINK you want to DRINK, and just say "AHHHHH, Shit, not me - I am on Step 3, and just walk away", whatever it takes just do it, love it, then pass it on. JohnnyC (Jackson, Ohio) Hope to see you at a conference somewhere in the USA, Canada, or elsewhere in the world someday..
