Hey there,
If the meeting is listed in teh schedule as open it won't be a problem at all. I would suggest you announce yourself as a friend of an alcoholic when you go. This will identify you as a visitor who isn't a drunk.

Being Supportive

I just started dating a guy who attends AA meetings and I am very proud of him and supportive, but I want to better understand what he goes through and what inspires him at these meetings. I want to attend a meeting in a different town to better understand him and offer him better support.

My question is: Will people at the meetings find it rude or be offended if I attend a meeting just to get a better understanding of these meetings? I don't want to offend anybody.
