No. Your parents do not have to attend. I've been going to AA meeting since I was age 17 and have been sober for 25 years. Best of luck to you!

No you will never need a parents consent to go to AA meetings. no one has to know its completely anonymous. they have certain groups just for teens if your interested you can look it up online and see what meeting there will be around your area. Also, when you go to your first meeting, ask for a directory which tells you times and places that meetings are held every day of the week.
