Hi and welcome.
Yes, you can just show up. There's no membership requirements or anything like that, no reservations needed. You'll see two types of meetings listed: Open and Closed. Closed means that attendance is restricted to those who have a desire to stop drinking. Open is open to anyone.
Don't worry about fitting in with the group. The meetings I have gone to have asked if there is anyone new. I would suggest raising your hand and introducing yourself. When I did, I was welcomed. I was also told to visit many groups in my area to find which ones I felt safe and comfortable at. If the first one you go to doesn't fit for you, find another. The key is to just keep going.
