i've been trying AA @6 months but still having troubles. my husband just started attending al-anon with 1 of our adult children. my question is that i really believe he has his own alcohol problem, he "somewhat" knows this but hasn't admitted it. is it okay for both together to attend AA meetings or should he continue doing these meetings without me? thanx

If he wants to attend AA meetings, there's nothing that should stop him but you should run this by your sponsor. However since he does not believe he has a drinking problem, then there's nothing you can do to make that happen. He has to come to his own realization, just like you did.

I go to AA every week with my husband and I love it! I still go to one meeting a week with out him but it's nice to be together doing it. As far as him not admitting it I'm not good at that area I'm sorry but I sure do love having him by my side at a meeting.
