I have been trying to get sober for years and feel hopeless and very depressed.

Sorry you're feeling down.

You can get sober.

I hope and pray I can. I have been blacking out every time I drink and feel suicidal when I drink.

Hi I would like to help if you are willing to help this aa is about willingness. You have to have that first before anything. and just don't drink call the AA central office in the phone book. Ask for a meeting near you and if someone can pick you up ask if they have phone numbers that a member can call you don't give up, it;s only one minuate at a time

Hang in there. I was sober for 10 sweet years, before I went through a terrible divorce and relapsed. I feel like a fool for being weak, but I am determined to go to a meeting Tuesday and take my life back. I FELT THE PEACE OF SOBRIETY, AND IT WAS BETTER THAN ANY DRUG I'VE EVER HAD ( AND I'VE HAD MANY). Put yourself in God's hands tonight, and be strong tomorrow. It can be done!

To the OP;

"I called you at the time that you suggested -- and offered to help you. Since you were too busy planning and thinking about photos -- I understand, you didn't have time to talk with me. If you get the time, out of your busy schedule, and want help again, and can fit me in -- you have my number. Hopefully, I'll still be available to help. Best regards."

Now, I'll move on to the next one.

Sometimes a person gets the gift of desperation. And, they toss it.

For myself -- my experience proved to me, that getting sober was not so much a choice I would make in "my time". I failed to recognize that Life presents us with "windows of opporuntiy" to change. And, when the window closes -- there are sometimes no more windows and no more doors that will be opened.

I hope you get another window.
