I'm a 37 year old female who has just started looking into the sober life as well. I'm close to South Philly. If you ever need someone to talk to that understands what you are going through please message me. I've been thinking about going to a meeting soon...

I am a 39 year old female. I know I need to stop. I do not drink everyday but when I do it is to much. Then sometimes it turns into explosive situations that could have been prevented. I am losing my husband and my children are not good with it. I finally admitted that I do have a problem and need to handle it.

I'm so glad you wrote---You are NOT alone. I just found this website/forum and think it is awesome. You took the first step by reaching out. I'm an emotional person also--Do not feel alone. One day at a time....be strong

I tried a lot of things to figure out what was triggering my drinking and figured out I drank too much coffee and to calm down and get sleep drank alcohol. I did this cycle of up and down for years. For me coffee and booze had to be cut off at the same time. So far less cravings, it was definitely not easy.

Focus. Set a goal that you have to stop. There's a lot of options and meetings out there that can help.
