Sponsors?

Unread postby Guest » Wed Feb 24, 2016 2:42 pm

I need to stop drinking. It is ruining my life and tearing my family apart. I've started going to AA meetings, but I am wondering how you seek out a sponsor? How do you approach them? What do you look for? What qualifies someone to be a sponsor? I need to get this under control and start righting my wrongs.

Someone who is strong in their recovery. Someone who will tell you the truth, be tough when you waiver - someone who is available for you to talk. Encouraging but firm.

Must be the same sex as you - male to male or female to female.

You can Google it and there are some good guildelines out there but here is one
