Something new - control it!

Instead of getting plastered, try doing something constructive. Create something instead of destroying. Drinking until you are unconscious is repetitive and tedious. It never changes. Try changing your life, do something new, something unexpected. Go somewhere new, meet new people. Have one or two beers, not ten. Have a glass of wine, not a bottle, not by yourself but with a friend. With lunch. On a nice sunny day. Drink responsibly! Enjoy life in moderation. It’s more fun that way.

That is pretty simplistic and unrealistic. It is known that alcoholism and addiction is a medical problem.
