Maybe you need to take your inventory and not everyone else's. This will give you focus on someone you can change.

While it is important to focus on yourself, you also have to find a meeting that works for you. Take a look at other towns: http://www.sobrietyonline.org/meetings/aa-meetings-zipcode.php

If you find that every meeting is not for you, then it's no longer a matter of the meetings. It's important to do at least a meeting a day in the beginning, the more effort you put in the better the result you'll get out. During early sobriety you need support. Go to a new meeting, announce that you're new, get phone numbers, get a sponsor. Share at the meetings. It will help.

Find a meeting today to go to. One day at a time!

Sometimes a day at a time seems impossible, sometimes its better to break it down into an hour at a time, or minutes at a time. You can do this, you are worth it.

Are there meetings near work? It's imperative that you find a meeting that YOU like and feel comfortable sharing at. The people at that meeting you choose are going to become your family. You'll talk to them about everything going on in your life. Keep searching. There are meetings that I avoid simply because I don't like the room (bad lights, no windows, etc.). I tend to like churches (old, wood & stone, etc). Other places I avoid because I don't like the format (Break Down the Book). To each his own, but figure out what is your own. Once you find meetings you like, love even, attendance becomes second nature. Good luck.
