We are starting a meeting Perkasie. Thursday evenings at 530. This is a Big Book based fellowship for people who have struggled with drug addiction who want a 12 step program such as the one found in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. it is a relatively new fellowship, founded in 1997. We hope you will join us

Hi. Could you post where this meeting will be at? It would help others to know where it's at so they could attend. I know there are several members who are local to that area. Thanks! :D

I also live in Perkasie, Quakertown area and I am having a hard time finding rides to meetings. Ive been struggling having come out of a 3yr relationship a few months ago. We both used heroin. I have been clean a month but it is a daily struggle. Loneliness is killing me.

Sorry for the delay in response:

New meeting Sundays at 8 PM- The Flimsy Reed Group of Drug Addicts Anonymous will be starting a meeting at the Unity Clubhouse on Sundays at 8 PM.

DAA is a fellowship of men and women who have recovered from addiction, substance abuse and chemical dependency. DAA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution, does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay drug free and help other drug addicts to achieve the same freedom.

This will be a Big Book meeting and all are welcome. Please come out and help us get this group off the ground.

Correct me if I am wrong, but arn't AA meetings open to those addicted to drugs also? Yes of course, but AA has a singleness of purpose that means they stick to their problems with alcohol. The fellowship of AA is for alcoholics, the program of the Big Book has its uses for all. SOme find hope in NA, some don't, we are there for those who wish to work the program of the Big Book
