Are meetings open or closed?

Unread postby cc13 » Thu Jul 12, 2012 3:16 pm

My family and I are looking for an al-anon meeting in Montgomery County that is open for us to attend. I have a sister who is an addict and had been using on and off for 10+ years. She has a 6 year old son who was taken out of her custody in Nov. My mom is a HUGE enabler and the two of them together are like poison. As a family (meaning myself, other sister, father and step mother) have talked about attending meetings for a few years now and just have never done it. Now is the time to get some advice because she is asking to come live with me. I have already told her NO but she is practically begging. I personally need an outsider perspective. I was looking in the Hatboro, Abington and Doylestown areas. Please let me know if most of these meetings are open so that we can get the help we need.
Thanks in advance!

Go to : http://www.pa-al-anon.org/meetings.html. It has a search option for Al-Anon meetings and will tell you if they are open or closed. I hope this helps! :D

I know that both Abington Hospital and Warminster General Hospital which is now part of the Abington Hospital system have Al Anon meetings.
