When we first started this site we did a search on Google to see what type of sites were out there regarding alcoholism and recovery. It turns out alot. Some are web-sites like Sobriety Online where the web master is an recovering alcoholic and just wanted to share his/her experiences. Others are more established sites with large memberships. We will try to list some of the more popular ones with brief descriptions. Not all of the web-sites will be in the typical 12 step tradition. Although we know the 12 step programs work, we also believe that there are other ways for some people to recover.
